Appointments
Appointments can be made by calling our office during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8 am-4 pm (We are closed 12 pm-1pm for lunch).
After Hours and Emergency Care
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For all other urgent matters after normal business hours please call Dr. Tuwiner's answering service number at 703-453-8111.
Prescription Renewals
Requests for prescription refills are renewed during normal office hours and can be faxed to our office at any time. In some instances, we may require that the patient be seen in our office prior to the medication being refilled. Please allow at least 72 hours for your request to be processed. In some circumstance where prescription refills require pre-authorization, please contact our office no less than 2 weeks prior to your prescription running out.
Authorizations
If an authorization or pre-certification is required by your insurance, we will need at least 72-hours to contact your insurance company for authorizations. In some cases, it may require you to be seen by our physician first.
Financial
Please be sure to check with your insurance representative regarding our practice participation, co-pay and deductibles, and co-insurance. All patients are required to bring their insurance information in order for us to file with your insurance company. Payment for services rendered is expected at the time of service, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance. We accept cash, most major credit cards, and debit cards. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
Cancellation
If you have a scheduled appointment time and need to reschedule or cancel, please notify our office ? 24 hours so that we may benefit another patient. We will gladly reschedule a more convenient appointment time.
